This is a typical Derbyshire walk with ascents and descents (one quite steep) and is mostly on field paths, tracks and some road walking. We start from the Market Place in Crich, and go uphill steadily to the Memorial, through Crich Chase and down to the Cromford Canal. Then on to Fritchley, Park Head and passing Wingfield Manor before returning to Crich. There are several stiles on the route and there may be some mud.
