Reservoirs Walk 1 - Carsington

This is an ideal walk for avoiding mud. There is a large car park where we meet as close as possible to the roadway entrance to the Visitor Centre. We shall be doing an anti-clockwise circuit of the reservoir, the opposite way to a few years ago, which I believe was the last time that RR circumnavigated Carsington Water. It extends to around 8.5 miles, with a lakeside mid-morning break and a lunch break in Carsington Village with plenty of bench seats. Those who are keen can also benefit from refreshments at the Visitor Centre before leaving. There are toilets at the start and part way round. Parking is all day for £7 when you leave the car park.
