Overview

Located on the periphery of what was once one of the largest ironstone quarries in England, our walk starts from the village of Exton.   We follow what was once a route into the quarry and down to the Gothic folly of Fort Henry.  From there, our route follows the northern edge of the quarry back toward the village. Before returning to the start of the walk, we will take a short detour to the impressive Grade 1 listed parish church of St Peter and St Paul .
