We start from the White Horse Inn and we walk down Asher Lane to the old Great Central line for approximately 1.5 miles. We then go east for 0.5 miles; we can have a coffee stop here and/or have another stop in the café in the Country Park.
We head north towards the Country Park and enter the Park after one mile. We then walk round the lake passing the café and having a stop if requested. We then walk down Leys Road back to the pub for a well-earned meal.
The tracks are generally good and, depending on the weather, should be an easy and pleasant walk. If the weather is windy or wet, the trees of the park give protection
The walk starts at 10.30am, could you please be there for 10.15am to start the walk promptly. We expect to be back around 1.15pm.
We will need to pre-order food from the menus which will be sent when the walk is booked. Could you please let Keith know your order by Friday 1st May at the latest so these can be forwarded to the pub.
The number 10 bus goes from the City via Trent Bridge to Ruddington green where there is a terminus.
Toilets will not be available at the start of the walk. There are toilets at the café on the Country Park.
The walk will be led by Keith Coxon. Please email Keith if you are coming.
