Overview

A Derbyshire walk incorporating a 100 metre easy climb to appreciate the local scenery.

The walk starts near the old Cromford canal near Lower Hartshay and soon climbs up to Upper Hartshay. Crossing several fields, the walk then reaches Heage and the Windmill. From this high point, good views can be enjoyed as the walk descends into Sawmills. After picking up the disused railway line to Buckland Hollow, the walk then rejoins the remains of the Cromford canal. This is followed back to  our starting point.
