We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Pavement and road walking through Danby and Ainthorpe, gradually climbing on to Ainthorpe Rigg where the track is rough in places. Descend to Stonebeck Gate Farm, track to Forester's Lodge, then field and moor up to Castle Lane. There will be a 10 min break near this point, feel free to bring a drink and snack.
Road walking will pass Danby Castle remains, then Duck Bridge and track to Danby Lodge. Brief comfort stop. One last uphill track back to Danby avoiding more road walking.

The public toilets in Danby village are closed. Toilets at the visitors centre are open.
