Overview

WALK DESCRIPTION: This is a 4-mile circular walk along the River Cole, calling at Blakesley Hall before visiting Old Yardley and St Edburgha’s medieval church and surrounding historic buildings. As this is close to Easter we should enjoy spring flowers and blossom around the church and in Blakesley gardens. At Blakesley Hall we will have a stop for toilets and coffee. There are no refreshment facilities so please bring your own drinks and snacks etc.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS. This short walk starts from Stechford Station at 10.40 am. Travel: By train: Catch 10.24 am from New Street Station to Stechford station arriving at 10.32 am. Adult return fare £3.80, travel pass holders free. By Bus: no. 11 bus stops on Station Road. Walk to Victoria Road and meet the group at the station entrance. By car: The Post Code for the station is B33 9AF There is limited on street parking in the area, including Station Wharf.
