A varied and scenic walk following the course of the River Ingrebourne through Pages Wood with its wooden sculpture trail, large fields affording good views back to London and Ingrebourne marshes, an SSSI and local nature reserve. The route closely follows that of sections 22 and 23 of the London LOOP. Please bring a picnic lunch and we will then have an early afternoon stop at the Ingrebourne Valley Nature Discovery Centre, with a cafe, shop and toilets. The walk ends at Rainham village with Rainham Hall (1729, NT) and a Grade 1 listed late Norman parish church. Mainly flat and good paths although there is one notoriously muddy section after heavy rain.
