Overview

This picturesque walk loops around the valley of a young River Eden, alongside the nearby Carlisle / Settle railway line, on good tracks, paths and bridleways. The ascent comprises a gentle rise and a short steeper section which will be taken leisurely. You will walk on an ancient green highway, view Wild Boar Fell across the valley, pass the highest waterfall on the River Eden, and pass by "The Water Cut" an iconic sculpture, one of a series of Eden Benchmarks.
