Overview

A local linear walk characterised by its simplicity and understated charm. After alighting from the 508 at Patterdale, we join Wainwright’s Coast to Coast path and make a steady ascent towards High Street. On gaining the ridge, the landscape broadens and we turn northward on the long walk home to Tirril, tracing the ancient route trodden by Roman legionaries.
