Overview

This walk starts in Pooley Bridge and tackles the uphill at the beginning, walking up the road to Roehead and on good tracks to the Cockpit, before descending to Howtown on fairly good paths, with some minor flooding.  The return is on the Ullswater Way over muddy fields and by the Lakeside to reach Pooley Bridge for refreshments.
