The walk takes in a varied landscape of hills, woodland gardens set among ancient trees, abound in wildlife. We will leave the park for a pub lunch (if you are having a picnic you should bring something to sit on). After lunch there will be a short walk along the Thames before returning to Richmond Park.
The paths are very good and almost mud free.
There are toilets at most of the gates around the park with a charge of 20p only payable with a contactless card. If you want a pub lunch please message or email the leader by 12.00 on Thursday 19th
Richmond Park is the most visited royal park outside central London. The park is enclosed by a high wall with several gates. The gates either allow pedestrian and bicycle access only, or allow bicycle, pedestrian and other vehicle access. The gates for motor vehicle access are open only during daylight hours; the speed limit is 20 mph (32 km/h).
