From the car park we walk up Victoria Place and turn right on to the cliff path. The path climbs steadily up to West Down Beacon, and we follow this to the holiday park at Sandy Bay. From there we head for Littleham Church and follow Castle Lane for roughly 0.75 mile, where we turn off for a path that takes us through a copse and then across a golf course, returning to Budleigh by various back lanes and streets.
