In part a linear walk with potentially two river crossings, generally easy to walk across unless after heavy rainfall, but spare socks a sensible decision.
An open moorland walk, paths not always well defined, crossing the firing ranges to Nattor Down, Ger Tor, walking above the stunningly beautiful Tavy Cleave, Sandy Ford, crossing the Tavy and Amicombe Brook, Watern Oak Bronze Age village, Fur Tor, then returning to Sandy Ford for repeat of river crossings, Hare Tor, White Hill and return.
If the group of walkers is ambitious, good weather and agreement by all, then walking though Tavy Cleave will be considered, but this would turn the walk into a strenuous one, adding possibly an hour to the walk.
Booking essential as decision on whether walk happens will be weather dependant.
Back up dates 20th or 22nd August.
If you would like to join this walk, it is essential to notify the leader, preferably by email, so that they can inform you of any late changes to arrangements.
