We are the Mid Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start at the Swainswick layby and walk up parallel to the A46 skirting past the old wartime RAF base of Charmy Down and onwards to Monkswood reservoir before returning down through the runways of Charmy Down airfield, Northend and Chilcombe Bottom nature reserve.

Start from Swainswick layby. Heading north exit the A46 at the Swainswick exit. Keep left and left again under the A46 keeping left again and layby is on your left.
