A classic lakeland walk. Starting on the path to Rydal Hall, an initial fairly steep ascent of Nab Scar follows. This takes us up to the ridge where a further 7 Wainwright summits complete the horseshoe.
This will be walked at a moderate/brisk pace.
Although there are no particularly difficult sections on this walk, I've classed it as strenuous due to the distance and significant amount of ascent. Sections of the path are stoney.
Parking is at a pay and display car park.
If time and conditions allow, an optional short add-on ascent of Cofa Pike may be possible while others not wishing to do this have their lunch.
