We are the West London Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will walk across Oxshott Heath, Esher Common and West End Common to stop for lunch at Claremont Landscape Gardens. Some hills and some mud, but no serious puddles (checked recently). There is a café and toilets, but benches for a picnic will require National Trust membership as will include a visit to the gardens (tickets £12). We will stop for a whole hour to allow time to enjoy the historic gardens with their lake and amphitheatre.
The 10:12 SWR train from Clapham Junction will get to Oxshott at 10:38.
Toilets are available at Oxshott station while it is staffed.
Return trains will be half hourly.
The715 bus runs hourly from the gardens to Esher or Kingston for a half way drop out.
