This is a circular walk in the quiet undulating countryside north of Beaconsfield. We will follow the Chiltern Way for some of the route passing the villages of Winchmore Hill and Penn where we stop for lunch, please bring picnic to eat here, pub available for toilets /drinks only and there are benches in churchyard. Our walk continues returning via the ancient Royal Standard of England where we may stop for quick drink, this pub has 800 years of history and it worth a brief stop. After which it's a 2 mile walk via Hogback wood to Beaconsfield station. There may be mud on some of the woodland paths.
There are two possible routes to Beaconsfield station.
Use a Chiltern Railways train from London Marylebone or Bus 102 Flightline bus from Uxbridge station (York Road stop) alight at Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield and follow signs to station.(2 mins walk).
