As part of the London Walking Festival 2026, We will walk through Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park where we will visit Isabella Plantation
I have decided to start to do afternoon rambles. Most of us have busy lives and cannot afford to spend all day out rambling. So why not spend Sunday morning doing whatever you need to do, have lunch and join this afternoon ramble.
Hopefully the azaleas and rhododendrons will be in full bloom when we visit
We will follow the Capital Ring from Richmond to Richmond Park where we will leave the Capital Ring and divert to Isabella Plantation. We will then walk to Wimbledon Park up to Wimbledon Common. We may even see a "womble" in the common.
We will then adjourn to a pub or you can catch the tube/ train home.
TRAVEL
Use travel planner - eg. Tfl; City mapper, etc., to plan your journey. The start and end stations are within the Oyster/Contactless/ Freedom Pass zones.
No booking required. No need to text or email - just turn up
No Lunch stop - but toilet stops at Windmill in Wimbledon Common and Isabella Plantation
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
