Blow away the Christmas cobwebs and get some fresh air and exercise by joining me as we go up, down and round and round the olde worlde back streets (and some newer bits) of Frome. Trinity, Badcox, Welshmill, Rodden Meadow, and all of the parts that you’ve seen on TV will feature. As the public toilets in the Cattle Market car park have been closed, we will visit the Cheese and Grain twice to use their facilities. It would seem churlish not to visit their cafe while we are there, so a coffee stop will be included. The walk will consist of three loops, each ending in the town centre, so it can be shortened in the event of inclement weather. No mud (although Willow Vale is always “sticky” with constant puddles and fallen leaves turned to pulp), no stiles, some steps. Some hills; it is Frome after all! On paved roads and paths throughout, so sensible walking shoes should suffice.
The X34 bus from Trowbridge arrives in the Market Place at 09:40. Ask the walk leader for directions to the start (0.75 miles) when booking if required.Coffee stop at Cheese and Grain. Bring hot drink and snack if not planning to join in. Lots of cafes in Frome for lunch after the walk if desired.
Please text the walk leader to reserve a place on this walk.
