Overview

This walk takes us gently up Coulston Hill and picks up the Wessex Ridgeway alongside the 'Danger Area' as far as New Zealand Farm Camp before dropping down to the Cheverells.  We then meander back via Erlestoke and Coulston before climbing again on a tricky path through Baynton Hillside Wood, and finally gently back down again to Edington.
A great area for walking, with marvellous views if the weather is kind.  Look out for early Spring flowers on the chalk grassland, and there is always the possibility of interesting birds and animals.  Worth taking a pair of binoculars with you.

It is likely to be muddy underfoot after prolonged rain, so be prepared, and take a walking pole.

We will have three stops for refreshment.
