Overview

A 6-mile circular walk around Ingleby Barwick using footpaths and some pavement walking.

We follow footpaths by Bassleton Beck north and then west, crossing the beck into Thornaby Wood. We then cross the A135 (Queen Elizabeth Way) and continue into the Rings area of Ingleby, joining a footpath around the western edge of the estate, overlooking the River Tees towards Eaglescliffe. We then turn east, following footpaths back to the start.

Wet and muddy in places, could be slippery. Some paths also contain cycle routes, so we need to be aware of cyclists.
