Overview

Through Wolverton, the first purpose-built railway town, then along the Grand Union Canal to the aqueduct over the Great Ouse, past the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve to New Bradwell, and the railway walk to Great Linford Manor Park and lunch. Return via the site of Stantonbury Manor and a modern canal aqueduct. En route we see how Milton Keynes absorbed Wolverton and other older settlements.

Use toilets on train - no facilities before lunch.

Lunch: at Great Linford Manor Park, with benches for picnics as well as a café and pub.
