An undulating walk through woodland and across pasture and arable fields and lanes on the Sussex Kent borderlands. We walk short sections on the Sussex Border Path and The Wealdway, and follow the Tunbridge Wells Circular along a stream and through woods to our final destination. There are a number of stiles, a couple of short fairly steep climbs in the morning and the possibility of mud if its been raining.
Train: 10.07 at London Bridge: 10.22 at East Croydon. Final destination Uckfield. Frequent return trains from Tunbridge Wells. Buy two single tickets, the outbound and inbound trains are operated by different companies.
Lunch: will be a picnic lunch of two halves, firstly en route, without facilities, then at Groombridge where there is a pub for drinks and toilets and benches on the green and churchyard.
Toilet: Please use toilets on the train, the only other opportunity is in the pub at Groombridge.
