The walk starts from The Duke Inn. From there we head straight to The Ball, and up to St. James's Church passing a valley of snowdrops on the way. We take the short, muddy and slippery path around the Church into Combe Bottom. The path takes us diagonally to the top, with lovely views to admire. On top Bratton Fort along the top of the White Horse and back down into Bratton. Depending on time we will explore Bratton and get back to the start before 1 pm. Walking poles are strongly recommended as not only is the mud slippery, but also the grass. It is steep in parts. Bring a snack and a drink. There are three stiles.
The Duke is open from noon, if you want to have lunch or a drink after the walk.
