Walk to Brunel Manor to view Keith Barratt’s 1993 sculptures celebrating the accomplishments of the man in the stovepipe hat, through the Avenues towards Great Hill, then follow the lane to the village of Maidencombe. Take the permissive path across Foss Hill and down to the South West Coast Path, pass through The Valley of Rocks and return to Watcombe.

Watcombe Beach Road CP (free) Travel Details: 9.37am train from Exeter St Thomas to Teignmouth arrives 10.03 catch 22 bus at 10.17am to Watcombe from Green (stop A), descend at Moor Lane and walk to meeting point at car park. (Train is £4.00 off-peak day return). Hope to catch 15.04 return bus to Teignmouth. Alternatively drive to CP. Map: OL44
