Overview

We will walk initially through Phear Park, where Marpool Hall once stood, home of the Phear Family. We will then follow the former railway which is now a cycle track, through Littleham and on to Castle Lane. After the urban sprawl of Exmouth and Littleham the trail becomes more rural and scenic. From Castle Lane we will walk out to West Down Beacon, and return along the coast path, and the seafront. After the walk there is an option of joining me for a drink in (in my opinion) the best pub in Exmouth, The Bicton Inn.
