This is a fascinating walk from the source of the River Fleet on Hampstead Heath to its outfall into the River Thames under Blackfriars Bridge. The route takes us from the tranquillity of Hampstead Heath through Camden, St Pancras Old Church and its fascinating churchyard, Farringdon and then through Blackfriars to the Thames. Our walk is all downhill!
Train: There are frequent services on the Northern Line to Hampstead Underground Station. The return journey from Blackfriars using the Circle or District Line Underground services to Victoria
Lunch: Picnic lunch stop will be organised at Camley Street Natural Park where there is a cafe serving teas and coffee with light snacks.
Toilet: No toilets are available at Hampstead Station. An early toilet break will be arranged near Hampstead. Full toilet facilities are available at the lunch stop at Camley Street Natural Park.
