An early evening walk through central London guided by some of the street lamps still lit by gas. London was the first city in the world to be lit by gas powered lamps, many still surviving after 200+ years.
This walk of about 4 miles is through Hyde Park, Green Park, St James's and Westminster and you will experience the soft, mellow glow of gas street lighting. There will be descriptions as we go along.
Meet: At exit of Lancaster Gate tube station.
Toilets: None on this walk.
Train: Lancaster Gate is on the Central Line - Zone 1.
