A linear walk starting from Mount Dinham Cemetery, Exe St making our way under the Iron Bridge of 1834 up Paul St to Northernhay Gardens, backtracking the footpath above Central Station, heading to the glorious tulips of Little Silver, on through St David’s Churchyard produce garden to Bury Meadow. Velwell Avenue’s lampposts illustrate the wealth of plants brought by Veitch to this country, on through the Lower Hoopern Valley taking in the Reed Hall Ponds, ascending the staircase to formal Italian Gardens with wisteria shrub trees, rock and fern garden, crossing to the Botanic Gardens of the University, following the Green Circle to the orchid meadows of the Belvidere and Duryard Valley to Argyll Road. Catch the K bus back to the City Centre or descend Belvidere Road to the Imperial!
There is some road walking and several footpaths are tarmac. Bring a bus pass if you have one!
