Overview

Please note 10am start.

This is a walk on open moorland with some ascent and descent using narrow moorland paths. The route will use the Drift Lane to the Moor Gate, a detour to the impressive Roundy Park kist, before crossing Braddon Lake. We will then pass Broadun Ring, a prehistoric pound, there are hut circles in the vicinity. There are a couple of stiles before we cross Broad Down, to reach the beautiful East Dart waterfall. The return route will potentially include Chittaford Down and Archerton.

We will probably visit a pub/café after the walk.

Please book with John Howell for the walk and please state if interested in food after the walk.

In association with Dartmoor Preservation Association.
