Overview

A circular walk from Malborough going south-east through Collaton to South Sands (toilets; just south of Salcombe), with views of a Henry VIII gun tower (Civil War Fort Charles) guarding Salcombe and the Kingsbridge estuary. We then follow the coast path via Sharp Tor and Bolt Head (a WWII RAF station), and westwards towards Bolt Tail, and the south end of Bigbury Bay where there is an Iron Age promontory fort; sea views throughout. The return uses paths and small lanes via South Down and Furze Farms, back to Malborough.
