Overview

Follow the Holne Moor Leat, Combestone Tor, Horn’s Cross, Snowdon, Ryders Hill, Pupers Hill, then using Two Moors Way to Chalk Ford, Scoriton and Holne.

The walk will be on some moorland tracks, which are good walking, and a long ascent on narrow paths to the summit of Ryders Hill, before we walk along the ridge. From Pupers Hill we will then follow the Two Moors Way, descending steeply to the beautiful Chalk Ford, and using lanes and quiet roads, return to the walk start, though the settlements of Scoriton (Tradesman’s Arms) and Holne (tearoom and Church House Inn), which (depending upon arrival time) may present the opportunity for a refreshment stop.
