This mostly green walk ascends gently to one of London's highest points, with extensive views over London and Essex. From Romford the walk quickly reaches parkland and then follows a route to the Essex Wildlife Trust's Visitors Centre (coffee and toilets stop). The walk continues to the village of Havering-atte-Bower (lunch on the green - please bring a picnic). The route then goes through the Havering Country Park. The shorter option finishes at the end of the park, close to frequent bus services to Romford. The longer option takes the London Loop route to Harold Wood, through countryside (potentially muddy) and later parkland,
