A moderate paced linear walk over undulating countryside, heading east to Hill Hoath, then through the woods to Chiddingstone Hoath. Late picnic lunch. We visit Stonewall Park (NGS entrance fee £7; home-made teas available), where we will see rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas, bluebells and a range of interesting trees and shrubs. We return to Cowden station. Use toilets on the train.
Lunch: Late picnic when arriving at the garden which will be after 2pm.
