Overview

Lovely Hertfordshire hilly area. The walk goes through fields, some woods and lanes on the ridge of the Chilterns, passing through Pegsdon and Pirton and ending back in Hitchin. Only two uphills otherwise flattish walk with beautiful views.  The pace will be brisk.

Train:  St Pancras 9.46, arr. Hitchin 10.20.

Lunch:  picnic lunch, but possibility of a drink at a pub.

Toilets:  No toilets apart from at a pub near lunchtime.
