Overview

Walk will take in Abney Park, views from Springfield Park and a tour of the Walthamstow Wetlands, onward to the Walthamstow Marsh and Mill Fields Park with the walk ending at Clapton Station.

As well as a new generation of water fowl we should see summer visiting insect feeding birds, hopefully some swifts.  There are steps up the tallest reservoir, it may also be muddy in the marsh.

Toilets are not available until an hour into the walk, so please use station facilities at Liverpool St. if travelling from there.

Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the Wetlands.

Lunch: At the Engine House in the Wetlands that provides a café, toilets and a picnic area.

Train: To Stoke Newington Overground (Zone 2); from Liverpool St 10:15 arr 10:28 (Cheshunt Train). Return from Clapton (Zone 2) served by Overground trains on the Liverpool St to Chingford branch.
