Overview

We all have busy lives and some of us cannot afford to spend all day out Rambling so I am aiming to do Afternoon Rambles during the spring , summer and autumn so you have the morning free. There will be no lunch break but if I find an open public toilet - I will stop.

This enjoyable section of the Capital Ring follows a varied route from Greenford to Richmond, combining quiet parks, riverside paths and historic west London landscapes.

Starting near Greenford, the walk quickly the open green spaces of Perivale Park before reaching the River Brent, where a pleasant waterside path leads through wetland and meadow habitats.

Further along, the walk passes along the Grand Union Canal. From here the route continues through leafy suburban parks and along quiet paths toward the River Thames.

The final stretch follows the Thames Path past the historic scenery of Old Deer Park, finishing in the lively riverside town centre of Richmond, with its cafés, pubs and excellent transport connections.

This section of the Capital Ring offers a rewarding mix of nature, history and riverside walking,
