Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

Meet outside Rickmansworth station at 11:00. We will walk to Chesham, encountering beautiful views of the Chilterns, mostly along the designated Chess Valley Walk but with a detour to the village of Chenies for lunch. We will stop for lunch stop approximately five miles into the walk.
There are loos at Rickmansworth station and at Chesham station but only woodland facilities in between.
There are no shops so bring a picnic lunch.
We will aim for a moving speed of over 3mph, except where we encounter slippery mud.
No dogs.
Travel:
Rickmansworth is served by the Metropolitan Line with four trains per hour. Here are times of the suggested train (the train will show its destination as Chesham; intermediate stations omitted for brevity):
