Overview

I'm pleased to repeat the walk completed on March 14th.

Starting at the Battersea Power station, this walk is an enjoyable stroll along the river with several points of interest. We will walk west, passing the Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda, then cross Albert Bridge to enjoy a short stroll in a couple of historical streets of Chelsea. We will walk along the Chelsea Harbours - Old and New - with a good view of the City (weather permitting). We will then join the national trail along the river, following a section of the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race route. A lunch break is planned by the river (with toilets facilities) after which we will head towards Hammersmith. We will cross the Hammersmith bridge to return to Putney via the south bank.

The route is mostly flat and almost entirely paved (except the last leg) . Exit points throughout.

Please bring a packed lunch to allow a short lunch break. There will be a pub option at the end.

This is a leisurely walk however considering the distance, this walk is graded as moderate.
