Overview

A circular walk taking in a mix of rural Mid-Devon landscapes – Grand Western Canal, villages and small lanes.
Starting from Beech Car Park north of Fenacre Bridge we will walk south past the remains of Canonsleigh Abbey (Augustinian Priory), then along a former railway line towards Burlescombe. Following the canal towpath we then head south and west towards Westleigh, skirting the quarry, then north to Holcombe Rogus via the famed Holcombe Court. On towards Whipcott and back to the canal and Beech Car Park.  Could be muddy in places with a mix of off and on road walking.
