We are the Exeter and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Shortly after leaving Bovey we shall make use of the Templer Way - not as earlier generations did to bring stone from Haytor quarry, but to follow the remains of the tramway onwards and upwards, passing Yarner Wood. As we reach Haytor Vale we come off the rails and head south to Haytor vale and across fields with fine views. The walk is mainly on paths and tracks with a short passage on a minor road.
