Overview

A celebration of 19th century railway engineering. On this walk we will follow the route of Blea Moor railway tunnel, stopping to admire at least two viaducts, an aqueduct and 3 tunnel air shafts as well as learning some of the history of their building. Parking by the roadside at Ribblehead we walk over Blea Moor to Dent Head, have lunch under the Dent head viaduct, then walk back via Black Rake Road and Gearstones.
