An excellent walk from this popular moorland village. From the car park we walk to the NYMR Station and a short uphill to the edge of Mill Moor where we head south to Partridge Hill, Birchwood and the Goathland road. We take the old railway line and then west to the outskirts of the village. Passing the Mallyan Spout Hotel we now walk onto the moor with good views on a clear day and eventually drop down to the Hunt House Road. A track northwards takes us to the path over New Wath Scar and back into Goathland and tea rooms.
