A circular varied walk from Kilburn, hopefully with great views. We will walk on tracks, quiet roads, across fields and through several wooded areas. We leave from the village of Kilburn famous for its Mouseman furniture through the church yard and on to Kilburn Thicket. The route then takes us north through Oldstead Grange to Scotch Corner where we will have lunch. We then go towards Sutton Bank and onto the White Horse passing the Glider Station. The final stretch takes us down the steep steps to the car park and through the woods back to Kilburn.
There are approx 10 stiles. Also 345m of ascent and descent.
Refreshments after the walk will be at The Old Barn Cafe at York House Holiday Park in Balk. They serve a variety of cakes and scones. It would help them if we can pre order scones. Fruit with butter or cream/jam or cheese.
