Overview

Starting at Sneck Yate the walk follows numerous paths dropping down through Boltby Forest to Boltby Reservoir. Paths are generally good and ideal for winter walking. There is a small amount of road walking. This part of the walk can be deemed fairly leisurely. From the Reservoir we then cross muddy fields to arrive at the top end of Boltby. Now for the STING. The reservoir is at the bottom of the valley our cars are at the top and we have roughly a mile of gradual hill climb up through fields until we reach the Cleveland Way. There is only one stile and generally the paths are good, but muddy in places but take note of the STING at the end.
