Flatts Lane Country Park and Eston Moor

The walk is just over 6 and a half miles and has about 290 metres of ascent and descent. We first explore the Country Park, starting near the site of the Normanby Brickworks, along to the site of Ormesby Brickworks, up Godfather Hill and along to a viewpoint. We then go through Great West Plantation and along Crabtree Walk. We cross Flatts Lane and pass through Quarry Plantation and Claphams Wood before ascending up to Eston Moor. We then go past Carr Pond and down to the car park. A good proportion of the walk is on good paths and tracks through woodland, moorland and a few fields. There a couple of places which could be quite muddy. There are only a couple of stiles.
