This strenuous route will take us over Cringle Moor to Cold Cote Moor, before passing Broadfield and Garfitts Farms to reach the A1257. We then return via the Cleveland Way, over the Wainstones, back up to Kirby Bank, along to Falconers Seat before heading down to Lordstones for a well-earned tea and cake / scone.
Total ascent 2500 ft
The route uses well defined paths and tracks and whilst much of it is on good surfaces it could be muddy depending on the weather. It is possible to return by a less exposed route if conditions are poor.
It is advisable to bring a stick.
