Monday 18 November at 6.00 pm at the Barbican, Cinema 1 (Silk Street Entrance). Running time 120 minutes with trailers beforehand but it has got good reviews. Blitz follows the epic journey of George (Elliott Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy in World War II London whose mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan) sends him to safety in the English countryside. George, defiant and determined to return home to his mother and grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in East London, embarks on a journey back home as Rita searches for him.
You are advised to book your own ticket, on line in advance (£6 plus £1.50 booking fee) to avoid disappointment although you can buy tickets on the night, subject to availability.

Meet at the Barbican in the foyer of Cinema 1 ten minutes before the performance starts (5.50 pm). You can buy drinks or coffee.
After the film we could go to a pub to chat about the film or whatever takes your fancy. Meet in foyer of Cinema 1 after the film.
The nearest tube stations are Barbican and Moorgate.
