We start with Richmond Deer Park and the riverside at Richmond and finish along the riverside at Putney Bridge. On the way will take in Richmond Park including the Isabella Plantation that should be glorious, Palewell Park, Barnes and Putney Commons.
The walk will encompass riverside, brookside, common land, parkland, lakeside and some suburban walking.
We may or may not see any deer but there should be a variety of fowl on view.
Packed lunch is recommended however snacks and hot drinks are available at the lunch stop.
Lavatory facilities are available at an hour into the walk at Pembroke Lodge and at the lunch stop.
Drop out points with bus connections are available.
There might be muddy bits on the Commons but otherwise the route has been chosen to be reasonable underfoot. Walking shoes should be fine.

Train:
10.20 Reading train from London Waterloo, 10.28 at Clapham Junction arrives at Richmond (Zone 4) at 10.36.
Finish is at Putney Bridge Station (Zone 2) from where there are District line trains to Earls Court. Putney railway station is a ten minute walk from where there are trains to Clapham Junction, Waterloo, Hounslow or Richmond.
